I'm offered ERP, but also VSP. My 1st, 2nd, 3rd level managers want me to stay and say if its up to them, I'm staying. I want to stay. If I decline ERP and Intel HR "lets get rid of the old people" algorithm is reapplied, I'm gone. I would feel like such an idiot for trying to stay only to get forced out.
But quitting with no other job lined up seems pretty friggin' stupid. I'm a technician near the top of the pay range and made about 75k last year. I'm certainly worth it, I work hard and keep my engineers out of trouble. But gawd, its so hard now to want to be at a place that pulls stunts like they did last year and this year.
I used to be so proud to work for Intel, Andy Grove is probably rolling in his grave at the crap BK is pulling.
I'm contacting the EEOC irregardless. Targeting people for termination solely because they maxed out on the promotions is a dagger aimed at old employees.
