Congrats to those getting job offers and big fat check from Intel and to those who can retire. Keep the good stories coming. We need it to improve moral.

Also took the ERP... I will definitely miss the people I worked with over the decades. I've had a few good managers and some absolutely vindictive jerks. After meeting with several financial planners I can walk away and be financially ok until I die. It's a hard decision to make but this offer came at the right time for me. I feel the people left will be in a real maelstrom of back stabbing, total lack of constructive confrontation due to fear, lack of information sharing, and zero risk taking. Not the Intel I loved.

Took ERP yesterday. Logically made sense but it's starting to hit me emotionally - first job out of college and 25+ years. It'll difficult leaving friends and colleagues I've known forever. It'll be weird interviewing for a new job. I wonder if I'll need to provide a college transcript.

After applying to about 30 jobs, and thinking I should toil away and decline VSP, an executive recruiter for a Fortune 100 commonly had a screening interview with me and she's sending my file to the hiring manager...and that's all I need to say YES to VSP. Good luck everybody!! There's a big world out there outside Intel.

Unfortunately a job offer will not reach in time so i could have accepted it. I will not be able to accept it at this time. But I am working on leaving. Got three interviews in the line. I lost few opportunities as i cannot relocate. Good luck everyone.

Nope; sh-- if they don't want me why TF would I want to go back? At least I'll get 6 months of unemployment if it turns into a VSP.

@HHfu0Yz-gsr, Good for you. What's the chances that we will be alive tomorrow? One thing that has helped me a great deal over the years is to enjoy the moment and not worry about what the future holds. Worring does not do anything except messes up your life. Enjoy your family, and everything else will work it's way out. IT ALWAYS DOES. Don't worry my friend.
