Do they also help find jobs of our education level. I have a bachelor's in mechanical engineering, in Oregon.
Thanks and I really appreciate honest answers. No trolls please.

A lot less than you made, but it is free money for apply for two jobs and doing 3 activities a week.
Do it!
As an L1 visa holder was unemployment insurance even deducted from your pay?
Can a L1 employee who goes out of status due to ISP file for an unemployment till he is in the USA for medical reasons?
I would specify layoff or corporate downsizing. Expect around 11k total payout around 450.$ per week.
@HI1X7Lc-rwp, discharged w/o cause. You didn't violate employer policy, you didn't get suspended prior to being discharged. Did your manager discuss w/ you about any performance issues you may have had throughout the year(s)? If no, then they cannot use that as an excuse.
File a claim with BOLI. This is BS plain and simple.
Even with VSP state you were laid off. You can elect to have taxes taken out or you can just pay taxes when you file at tax time. It's not much if you elect to have taxes deducted.
Are these payments taxed ? And at what percent ?
yeah, you certainly wont get paid what you made, else it would drain UI fund pool. They give you just enough to survive and purchase sign materials to claim your spot on the freeway exit ramp, " NEED Help, have kids in college, mortgage, car payment, vacation home. Got ISP from Intel. Please HELP!"
Yes, they help in job search as well. The career transition service that Intel provided last year (RiseSmart) was also very helpful to me to land on the right job and that is where I am now. Start this Risesmart help/coaching now without delay.
I'm an engineer in Oregon too -- there are several payout calculators if you search "oregon unemployment calculator".
Here's the one I used which showed mine to also be just shy of $500:

in OR, when applying for unemployment online, they ask you what was the reason you stop working for your employer = Intel in our case?
Would you say Discharge / Terminated? If yes, they ask you for the reason. If you are ISP, what would you choose, "performance", there was no other reasonable option (other than drug, alcohol, and other non relevant options)?
In Oregon about $500 per week. 24 weeks max. You will be required to track your job search. They will help in your job hunt somewhat. There is a weekly support group that meets at the unemployment office in Beaverton.
