Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

It's June 3rd, what is the estimated headcount reduction so far?

Any updates regarding ACT status in any groups/sites?

Hail Google docs.

Just an idea, why not make a spreadsheet and circulate it around so people who have been fired fill it up. At least some will, other if not today, might tomorrow.

You can ask for some sort of verification, maybe employee ID or something so that there is some genuineness on the sheet. This sheet could be a goldmine of information and tell trends that no one will ever will!

I heard ERP is over its estimate and VSP is under, but VSP had a ridiculously high number to hit, far higher than we got last year. Hence the nastygrams.

Yes, that seems low. I would have estimated 40-50% for VSP and > 50% for ERP. But then again, only HR knows.

@sdg Only 20% looks VSPs?! If that's true, I'm surprised it is that low.

It's a tough time to figure out where you stand these days. There are numbers and statistics floating around and some kinda make sense, while others are just off the air. I walk around and here people talk. I guess it will remain this way for the greater part of the month until we find out.

I doubt they would have any more ISPs until at least the next year, since that's going to only stir things further and impact morale further.

I for once am not in the mindset to continue with the company. I've started charting my course out of here already.

About 50% of the ERP'S were taken. 20% of VSP's were taken. This including ISP's last month + site closures+ people not wanting to relocate to Oregon, California AZ+ project cancellations that will happen soon should be very close to the 12K mark. However the plan was to get 12K by mid next year. They are hoping to get to that number and even an extra 4K by mid next year by another round of VSP, ERP, ISP, after 2017 focal.

Heard that HR is aking phase 2 list to be subdivided into top 10%, top 20 %, top 30%. Management is puzzled and is thinking that HR might have over shot their targets.

@HI1hZYh-lgs is a fake HR.. absolutely impossible to reach near 12k by ISPs and VSPs.. or may be @HI1hZYh-lgs is stupid with no sense of numbers,

My educated guess is 2-3k short. Not bad.

Close to 12K. Will reach target after project inefficiencies and relocations by end of this month. - Intel HR.
