Be good at what you do, passionate and you will land something. I bled for this company for two decades, weekends, holidays and skipped sabbaticals too. First level 4 ever and got shown the door. BK and his consultants really are both stupid and made a bad decision. I feel terrible for my many good friend working at that place as the captain is not so smart!

Started looking for different job in 2014 due to a toxic work environment I could no longer stand. Did get shown the door summer of 2015, but due to seeing the writing on the wall, I was able to start at a small design company and landed on my feet. Make more money, fantastic work environment. I look forward to going to work now rather than dreading it.

My only regret? Why I didn't leave much, much sooner.

I left intel in Jan 2013 and working at Apple now. Much better work environment and smart people. RSU grant is > 100k every year with much higher base pay.
