A guy in my group got ISP'ed but was back after 2-3 weeks after he was told on his exit he could appeal. Apparently he was given L4 but not for performance reasons. HR contacted the manager and the manager agreed it was a mistake. The guy who returned said the waiting for HR to process all the paper work to get him back to the office was the hardest part (took like 2 weeks).
Pretty please with sugar and a cherry on top.
No clue, but got some insight today into the appeals process. The appeals committee consists of Diane Bryant, Richard Taylor and some others (forget all the names.). They shave overturned some ISP, and they are tracking (and sounds like they will do something about but not yet) bad managers.
