Can the Yellow/Black wires be used instead of the Red/Green wires? Not sure if that question should be forwarded to Engineering? Proably one of the most difficult dillemas a field tech runs into I imagine? Thanks

Yes some of us do visit here, and were just as embarrassed by the actions of a few on both sides. We are all in the same boat below E Dir/VP, Pawns too bad that some treat each other like we do. If that was a serious question i would answer but your meter wont lie. I haven't seen a black/yellow in 20 years. We do actually run 4 pair to the station now. Also LIT not galvo for a long time round here.
@wmf I'm with ya man. My EWA was a little less stressful and most of the guys on the line never bothered me and weren't ever rude. They were doing their job on the line, and they I was doing mine on EWA. But I was also in the burbs and not in a major city, so that probably helped. But there were a few that I actually talked to and were really decent guys. Different time, different circumstance I could see sitting down for a beer and wings with them and having a good time.

Being totally honest here. Im sure there are some really great union members out there who work hard, have tremendous skill, and are very decent and caring people. Unfortunately, I've never had the chance to meet one. The ones I've seen on the lines, and the majority of the ones posting here are really the lowest form of life. I hope I get the pleasure of meeting a union guy who can sit down and have a serious, thoughtful, well informed discussion one day. For the majority of the union guys who really are decent, hard-working family guys/ladies, I am glad you're back and I wish you nothing but success. To the a$$hats who act like animals......well never mind. I won't go there.
I ran into a tough dilemma today as well. I was fixing internet for a hot chick who left her dirty hamper next to the modem and yes, there were parties. To sniff or not to sniff? Or even better take and hope she doesn't notice and take the full hour lunch in a deserted parking lot?

4 pair? Wow....Must be so confusing, even if its dummy proofed, by color code? Can see why Galvo and Field techs get paid the big bucks..Not to mention the danger involved working with the hi voltage running thru these wires!
