Spend company money and resources on diversity initiatives, while sponsoring anti diversity in private.

BK is aiming a position in US govt for post Intel phase. The diversity efforts at Intel will double up if and when Clinton becomes president. Conversely, they will see attenuation if and when Trump becomes president. Right now, the diversity index at Intel is dialed to match the Obama government. BK will tune himself in to either candidate. In this case, he seems to have risked it by wanting to host Trump a bit in advance. Seems like he presumes Trump win.

Indian and Asians should just go work for a Huawei, MediaTek, Xiaomi, or some other Asian company. Why enable intel moving forward?

I am shocked BK would support Trump because BK is such a liberal progressive loving POS. If I were Trump I would not want BKs endorsement. Maybe this is closer to the truth of why it was canceled

EEOC, Obama, diversity, you can even imagine a connection to BK'S failed fundraising event for Trump who is well known for knowing nothing about real issues. I thought Intel's explanation is laughable enough, but yours is 10 times worse.

Like it or not, Intel vision comes from the same mind.

Better questions are, why choose to meet a highly alienating or polarizing person who may not even win Republic nomination? In the context fundraising at your private home? And have people believe you are not endorsing but just want to talk about something (ok, issues important to tech industry as Intel claims)?

That is an embarrassment he could have avoided if had consulted any one of isp or esp folks.

If you read what BK said carefully... "I do not intend to support a candidate..." technically it's not lying because it's talking about the future. The real question on everyone's mind obviously is DID you intend to support a candidate. Playing word games like this is obviously dishonest even if not technically lying.

This is damage control.

BK was going to hold a fundraiser which implies support - financial or otherwise.

Could BK have met Trump for a full exchange of views without hosting a fundraising event? Hosting such an event can be perceived as "endorsement"?

No matter how you spin it, that would still qualify a joke of month. But that is what Intel has in its leaders right now. I feel pretty sad.

Once again, diversion from the true intent of the 1% running the show and consolidating more power to flush the rest of us down the toilet. The rest of us includes all ethnicities, as do the 1%. Wake up!

BK thought he was going to a Grandma Hillary fundraiser so that's why he backed out.

Methinks BK is tired of Obama's EEOC telling him to hire more people of acceptable ethnicity. He should grow a pair and tell Obama to shove it.

I guess the OP is just fine with Intel being sacrificed at the altar of diversity.
