Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

[Grim INTEL Reality] You will be attacked by your manager and co-workers if you are a star employee.

@HFjvMAf-5aiw writes: _Intel will fail bad! 10 years ago as I was inventing a lot of things for Intel. (IP stuff). I found out the hard way that Intel does not want innovators. You will be attacked by your manager and co-workers if you are a star employee.

I quit innovating about 8 years ago and simply played politics to work the the least amount possible for the most money. Politics at Intel is the only way to survive!_

I am the one got attached by my manager. My manager could not handle the team. Just thrower me out though I am a star performer . Just politics played well.

Other team like to take me immediately bit SSL 4 limited . My manager put me in 4 purposefully though he agreed for 3 in review

I found another job and switched immediately .they got shocked as if intel is the only company and his team is the only team

Be careful with Indian managers .no heart at all. Just they do anything for survival and to get green card

T&C? Sorry what is that? I will post for you here if i can.

Otherwise.... i am not a person who is gifted enough to patent IP but fortunate enough to know two inately gifted people. I agree intel sh--s all over them. In one case a pissing contest.... who has the largest male asset wink wink.

The other instance people didn't take the female as a strong contributor.

Patent is pitance for money and threatens people who cant acheive those things except me. I am in awe and would lift you higher.

I agree. 5-10 years ago I was a fairly prolific patent generator. Then they started trimming the bounty for them and the effort of iterating the disclosure, guiding the patent attorney, etc just became too wearisome for the reward on offer. Besides, the immediate management team used to be very discouraging of any time spent on patents. It was interpreted as self-serving (the bounty) and taking time away from their 'real work'. I was guided that mention of patents was not Focal positive.

I gave up on the effort altogether when within a few months I submitted patent disclosures which were deemed outside Intel's normal business and rejected, but then I heard that almost identical disclosures were made a few months later by one female engineer and they were boosted as exemplary ideas. That Bluetooth proximity triggered car seat that protects against hot car deaths and which uses Intel silicon and software? The so-called inventor was second to the post and I suspect the idea was salted by someone wanting an attractive PR-friendly face for BK's IDF slot.

As an aside, anyone have a copy of the employee T&Cs? I am wondering if there is a cooling-off period post-employment before I can submit patentable ideas with a future employer, or take a few of the more attractive ones out at my own expense and my own assignment between employment.
