What's left of engineering and IT will be gone and consolidation will end many supervisor positions in most other areas. 2nd RIF scheduled for October.

Does anybody know if the coming RIF will affect the outside field manegers on the wireline side..
I hear the folks that are taking the jobs over in India are looking for people to serve them tea .... but you'll need a Masters degree to qualify. It pays 3 rats and a bowl of curry rice per day.

Not trying to stir, this is what we just fought against. Jobs leaving the US. I don't know what else to say, all the bashing of the working folks. The EWA that were so proud to stand up for their leaders are now finding that they were used. And then tossed aside for $1.78 an hour guy in the call center overseas .
FL, TX, and CA locations are most at risk. If you a are wireline employee from these locations then work on a backup plan.
I'm so sorry. Are they outsourcing both? Didn't you just finish an EWA? Hopefully the package is still 2 weeks up to 35. Keep your head held high. It will all work out.
