Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Anyone using INTEL NUC as HTPC?

On a lighter note, I want to get some feedback on Intel NUC units. I want to hook and Windows machine to my TV (living room) and wanted to see if anyone had recommendations on what unit to get - also, not sure what kind of input to use - Ideally it'd be a small keyboard with a trackball or mousepad (maybe similar to a Blackberry keyboard with that rolling ball)...

buy used laptop with DP or hdmi for much cheaper than NUC

that is one of reasons why people buy less PC's and laptops, old are just still good

HTPC with right accessories can record broadcast TV if that's the intended use. Apple TV, Roku good for streaming only.

This is similar to that of PC vs mobile trend. Those days of using HTPC are over... These days, we use media streamer such as fireTV, appleTV, etc.

Logitech K400 keyboard is what I use with my HTPC. Has built in track pad.
