I thought one would be more excited by one's street party to celebrate Her Majesty's 90th birthday than by the prospect of one's team winning a football competition. Anyone got any spare bunting? - BoD have run out of 'Reject' Tape.

Peter's Hidden Postulate according to Godin:.

Every employee starts at their level of competence.

Peter's Principle:.

In any organisational hierarchy each employee rises or is promoted to their level of incompetence.

In other words , a hierarchical organisation is like a tree of monkeys on different limbs and at different levels. Those on the upper levels look down and all they see is smiling faces. Those on the lower levels look up and all they see above them is a--holes.

What good ideas? And ya work with what you have ... All management has done .. And will ever do is cover their own asses. Bakers way ...

Has to be frustrating for management. They clearly have some good ideas, but have a hard time putting them in effect with the resources at hand.

It doesn't matter how much you work. There will always be an a--hole who works less but gets paid more.

Used to be a great place to work.. Now unfortunately the pressure to get your efficiency up and paper work spot on is too much for some. Should be doing this anyway ..but the managers using overtime and disciplinarys as encourgement aint going to work..even the polish lads are leaving... Last time the voluntary redundancy list was more than enough to cover the amount that had to go... Next time (yes its going to happen again for sure) nearly all will want out..as for blame culture ...its always the operators fault.. And we are in the process of making sure that the paper work proves this ... Good luck all on your next endeavour...

My dad works at bod and he told me that when i grow up theres a job waiting for me. So i ran away. I found my own cave and live on raw worms and dead sheep innards, kind of haggis in the raw. I do have internet though.
