Thread regarding Baker Hughes Inc. layoffs

Lay off package

Got laid off from Drilling Systems in West Texas after 15+ years with the company. Was expecting it, but did not expect to be told that my severance package was based on 10 years service since I had rotated out of Africa for 5 of my fifteen years. Is this legit? Anyone else out there run into this?

Baker can and will do whatever we what to anyone! If you don't like it file a law suit and I will tie it up for years in the court system!

They did the same to a guy I know but a bit worse. Offered him severance or relocation. He chose relocation then was laid off a half year later with a fraction of the severance. They said it started over even he transferred. He initiated a law suit

No it's not legit. Legally they have to pay you full package for 15 years despite their bad circumstances.
