Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

BK June 15 forum on ACT

Rumor has it that BK will introduce IMPACT. He will state that 12k target will be reached this quarter. But IMPACT will evaluate all employees every quarter and the pass/fail criteria will be updated to meet Intel business objectives. In the interests of respect and inclusion headcount reductions will no longer be communicated openly.

Just remember that inside a corporation there really is no freedom of speech. It really is a dictatorship.

@1fuq - It's worse than that ... up until this afternoon that particular comment was still visible in the comments section for the article on Inside Blue, even though the comments had been disabled on Circuit. However, around 4PM, poof! the comment misteriously vanished. I know because I refreshed the page around that time and the comment I had just read was nowhere to be found. Reading the comments further, it is obvious that other posts had been removed as well. Fck you BK and this type of Gestapo tactics, you cannot quell the maelstrom you've now unleashed within the company. Looking forward to seeing you answer (or not) some tough questions on Wednesday!

@1fuq the person calling for BK's job over the Trump thing in those comments is a complete idiot. One of those social rejects who can't stand different opinions so much that they're willing to sacrifice a person who, ironically, completely agrees with them.

Company heads suck up to all sides in politics because you never know who will take power. If you're not retarded then you know this, or can at least figure it out.

If he renames FOCAL to something with the term ACT in it then he's completely tone deaf and needs to go. It's almost like the impACT blade is just over everyone's throats and once a quarter it swings down. Maybe you'll be fine? Maybe you'll be cut?

And if he reduces transparency even more then Intel will be like Enron.

After this morning, and the most inflammatory comment that demanded his resignation over the now cancelled fundraiser, they completely yanked off the comment section on this article. This thread has been growing in number every minute. At this point it looks like BK has fewer friends than Saddam Hussein had at his lowest, perhaps does not listen to anything that does not sound like the echo of his own voice. Welcome to Orwell's animal farm.

....IMPACT, huh?

I propose a F.U.C.K. Y.O.U. plan, and start updating resumés.

He'll announce phase 2 layoffs will be called " The Next Act". There will be no final "ACT" until the titanic sinks.

Maybe he'll explain how all that diversity is flooding Intel's bottom like while thousands of years of knowledge walks out the door being replaced by RCGs from CR, india, or Malaysia.

No, He's going to try and pump sun shine up our backsides. I'll take the afternoon off.

Interesting because comments are working on other articles. Plus, you can still go to inside blue and read and comment from there.

Der Fuhrer has spoken!

It's all good. So good that no one need question him.

Right now on Circuit the comments on BK's June 15th meeting are broken (IT is trying to fix) and the question tool is also broken.

This is going to be about how "the strategy is working" because of the big "win" with Apple. So much to be excited about!

But it will require continued restructuring, belt-tightening and "accountability" (i.e. the new FOCAL process and additional lay offs).

Just pathetic. All of it.

Inotherwords, there will be more layoffs and we still have not come up for an acronym for it.

ACT probably wiped out the AVA team.

How is it that so many morons still remain at Intel ?

I will be transparent and direct, LOL

It takes a mad with balls to admit he has done something wrong to really fix it. Well is ACT right or wrong and what will he admit?

Success of course, good progress on making the necessary HC reductions. We have significant progress in cost reduction that enables our continued margins in light of larger macro economic conditions.

We are well positioned to conserve cash for the next big thing

Consolidations are going well and critical skills are being moved to the important projects.

The reality is the wheels have completely fallen off, you think he'll say how dire things are, LOL

It's "convenient" the AVA tool is no longer working. I don't suppose this mega tech company will be able to figure this out until after the Webcast.
