BMC just announced teach outs at all of its campus. Sad day for all employees who lost there jobs due to poor management.

So they didn't even ride out the election to see of somehow, some way Trump would get in and privatize the whole DOE. Wasn't expecting rhis announcement until November.
As a former war Vet who was scammed into Brown Mackie its a great day in America! The Bullshit From GI Jobs Magazine endorsing this scam Company known as EDMC. Military Friendly my f---ing ass its called the 90-10 Rule and is a huge scam and loophole that these fake colleges use to get extra money! Im so happy i figured this sh-- out on my own about 2 years ago and got out with 20 months left of my GI Bill to at least go to a real college and get something. What a great day for the USA!

Join the f---ing peace core if you want to feel good about your job. You preyed on the working class for their loans and made the shareholders happy, that's all you did. I am a student at brown Mackie. Our school has an amazing staff and my education has been incredible. Had nothing to do with the probably thousands of people who are losing their jobs as we speak.
yeah, sorry that a few people will have to find new jobs. They should feel glad to be able to find new jobs that don't contribute to the pain of others and a higher ed system that is broken.
What about the 10s of 1000s that are now burdened with debt from terrible training at a school which values investors over students? They will have this debt for life --- not exactly as easy as just finding a new job. Ex-employees of EDMC don't know what pain and desperation in being lied to and thereby trapped under crushing, inescapable debt feels like. How do THEY look in the mirror?
My husband worked in admissions and was let go today along with the rest of his department. Time to move on to bigger and better things
I'm sorry to everyone who lost their jobs today. I was let got a few years ago and now I'm so much happier, but I did meet many nice people there with whom I remain friends with many to this day. I hope the same happens for you all.
We were told that all BMCs were closing. Our entire campus went into individual meetings with the director and were informed of our end date and severance packages...
Some were let go today.
It's easy to say that all the schools were terrible and paint all for profits with a broad brush, but shame on you who do so. We worked hard to provide the best opportunities and education to the students with what we were given. Good people were hurt today. How can you look yourself in the mirror when you celebrate someone else's pain.
