Intel currently employs 27,674 H1B's. For 2016 Intel has requested 3566 H1b's. From 2011 to 2015 alone, Intel requested over 14K H1B's. 90% of these H1b's are Indians followed by Chinese. Total number of H1b today in the US mainly on tech sector ~ 1,274,000.
beside the H1b's numbers, Intel now employs over 8K that has become green card holders.
@epd, surely you know that you sound like an idiot. Your statement "US sells products in other countries, other countries supply skilled labor to the US free of cost." makes no sense at all. What does the fact that the US sells products in other countries have anything at all to do with the fact that other countries supply skilled labor to the US? They have absolutely nothing to do with each other. Get rid of the H1B system!!
3% of 100K = 3000.. which is way too less...
i am speculating atleast 10-15K employees are on H1B
the reason its relevant is there is so much abuse on H1Bs in this forum..
I dont know if there is a way to query on the total H1Bs. But sometime ago, a greencard application (in 2013) showed that intel has ~2-3% H1Bs working as full time employees.
Yes, all H1B data is published by the government and you can put it into any database system you want.
Why is it relevant? It is like asking what percentage of cola market is owned by American companies like Coca Cola. US sells products in other countries, other countries supply skilled labor to the US free of cost.
