Great inputs. Man facing retirement came to Intel 2 months back to spend the last 5 years here. Seeing all the layoffs, I applied to other companies. Got a 15 K jump. Tomorrow morning I am sending my resignation note and bye Intel. Will stay till end of week. QUESTION: How many vacation days can i cash out for 2 months and 2 weeks service. California. Any other things I should do or be aware of before quitting/leaving? Thank you in advance

The HR site should have calculation for accumulated vacation time based in CA. They also have a checklist for exiting Intel. If in doubt do a search in portal for HR & call them.
to use the blind app, you'll have to use your intel email, that's the only way to register. be stupid enough to do this, and you are immediately hosed...
it's unbelievably really easy to get a subpoena for emails to be released, intel has done it before.
all what they need to do is to file a case vs. a john doe (google the term 'Doe Subpoena') and claim that they do not know the identity of the defendant, the court approves the subpoena before proceeding and owners of the app have to disclose it. if they do not comply, they are in contempt, at that point intel goes after whoever hosts data, provides domain names, etc. they are pretty much done at that point, so i guarantee you, they will comply and it's likely intel will get a full dump of all emails registered.
they can pull the same thing off on this site, yet here they have pretty much everyone using proxies or mobile access. when dealing with mobile access, verizon and att are pooling ip addresses, meaning that they have tens of thousands of users sharing the same address so it's pretty much impossible to figure out who posted what while on a mobile network.

Before you tell anyone of your intentions, take any personal documents off your PC with a USB drive and anything personal from your office. Considering how poorly Intel is treating employees, assume you'll be walked out just in case. collect your contacts off your phone and be careful about what you email to yourself using Intel's network.
At some point Murth and BK will crack down on going away parties, retirement parties, etc. and the lost hours. It also makes anyone left behind question their judgement.
Be very careful about signing anything concerning non-compete clauses or where you're going next. I told the lawyer in my exit interview when he asked that I was 'going home next'. Depending on your level, Intel will try to intimidate your new company (speaking from experience)
take your vac before resign. who knows in this current environment, if you resign they might just walk you out immediately meaning 'no vacation'
Take your vacation "BEFORE" you resign. Make it easy.
Blind app if you can get with the company email can view employee anonymous postings on the app once you're outside the company you may not be able to view it
Well, if you get 3 weeks per yr you can calculate the rest.
