Are all the groups done till the end of June?

CQN met their goal. Unbelievable because there is still a ton of fat that could have been trimmed.
How about ICDG? Did they meet it yet?
I'm in TMG. Our group had announcement today that we've met our reduction goals.
I heard from a source that if your area didn't meet the goal, you will have to have more layoffs. Areas that did meet the % goal are done for now.
Several of us in TMG have been called to discuss rescinding out acceptance of VSP. I'm meeting with my SLM soon to better gauge the likelihood of future actions, but I'm not expecting anything compelling. One person I know has rescinded their VSP and is already back to work (D1C). Another is like me - starting to get attractive offers, even if it means a 10-20% pay cut.
I heard (via high-level loudmouth admin) that more ACT stuff will start this week in the U.S.. Plus a manager cofirmed that he had was directed to give a stern talk to his non-accepting VSP'ers about their bleak future
No different @ the old ibm fishkill fab. I took the package in 2013. No job security and arrogant, abusive management constantly threatening engineers and now he's a big whig @ global. Go figure.
I heard some groups far exceeded expectations and are going to offer a buyback to keep the package and give a salary increase.
Just had lunch with my friend still working at Intel. He said HR reported that the number of people taken the VSP/ERP had exceeded the expectation. So, if that is true, the layoff is probably done, until next time, you will never know.
I hear ya. This whole ACT thing made us paranoid. I check my emails every day if there is any email coming from HR wanting to convert my VSP in to ISP. I will leave as soon as i land in a better environment. Right now we don't have any sense of job security.
Not much yet from VPG, an announcement is expected sometime this week.
