wish I new how bad this might turn out. I don't want to be negative but there is not much hope at any turn anymore. Our last short term mgr departed and I was wondering what if any hope of, well, Hope there is.

If he is new to the company (1 year or less) than he has probably been sold a bill of goods like our last manager who was promised a whole lot and shown a bunch of great finanacials and told a whole lot of bull of how the company was trying to turn things around. He quit within a year and told all of us to get out now because the upper management and HE were a bunch of liars who tell you anything to keep you around and work you to death. IF he has been with the company for many years he has either drank the corporate Kool-Aid and believes that this company cares or will survive. Or he is just trying to keep his/her job until they can find something else. Either way the company probably wont last long enough to make it matter. Vendors are pulling out in and not shipping because they are not being paid. Best of luck and try to get out while you can. I did and now I make twice as much with less stress, less b.s. from management and less uncertainty of the future.
Is there Hope? Does he care? We just don't have enough people to implement every new persons whims. It's all in shambles, but what's left of us will keep trying IF the new guy cares about US that are doing the work. AND! He Better Work, Too! Roll up the sleeves and inspire us, just like in the days of AMERICA WORKS! We don't need a corporate weasel sucking off the company.
