Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

If by chance you actually like working here, I'd recommend you get a quick tan, and change your name to Mahesh or Saritha...

Who ever started this topics has low self esteem..."No doubt"....if you think you are well qualified to take over ...Mahesh, Saritha dont matter, Boa only gives offshore those types of works that doesnt requires managerial approach too much...main decesion maker here in USA..your layoff decesion is not coming from india..as a matter of fact they are punishing you for the economic downturn...you wouldnt get laidoff if were work for free which is practically impossible..but one indian can survive with their low pay sacle...now my question is to you who is in better shape , you or them?..Arent we all fighting for survival!!

That's so simplistic! The financial crisis was almost 9 years ago! There are far more factors involved here - 8 years of stagnation under B O and the Dems, Dodd Frank, and excessive money printing by the Fed that's left the economy in the doldrums. Poltical correctness and diversity are really side issues!

Can we stop with all the Indian bashing. The economic crisis and the purchase of Countrywide is the reason BOA is in the mess it is in and Brian's solution is to cut head count.

Read the posts in this thread and try to understand that this is not racism but due to the Diversity Drive, Indians are hired and promoted ahead of anyone else. Just by using simple statistics, one can see that this group is over represented and it's not because they are better. This is not fair or right.

Wow, I'm not an Indian and I just want to know why you guys are so racist, turn your energy into something positive, if you were laid off your beef is with bank and their useless managers not the people they are hiring, no matter where the new employees are from do you think they should turn down a job because they feel sorry for us? They need to feed their families too, I say good luck to them.

Ditto. Most of our offshore partners are very capable and technically qualified. I can rely on them to do actual work, compared to several of our highly compensated employees who do nothing but admin work, crunching #s, FWD emails, delegating work. You know those types of people and I'd bet they'll be the next one to go!

We need true workers in this company - doesn't matter if Indian or not.

The Indians I observe in my office are never speaking English. They are rude, walking around and bumping into people, never saying excuse me. Not one will look me in the eye or say hello. I say revoke their Visas and bring back and employee our own countrymen/women.

Most of my Indian co-workers are excellent, and well qualified. Some of them aren't - kind of like my non-Indian co-workers. It does seem like all of 1-800-Support are dreadful.

Who says the top guy may be brilliant? He's there because of the diversity drive and thus he was chosen because he is Indian.
