NOV was a good company, until corrupt took over. NOV hasn't been the same for years. Morale, integrity and ethics have all completely gone out the window. If your incompetent & uneducated manager wants to hire their inexperienced hood rat cousins, pedophile brother, mentally ill spouse, lazy uneducated high school drop out sister, or drug addict friend to replace a skilled and educated worker, they can and they have. They refuse to hire any outsiders. Anything goes at NOV.

Too many NOV trolls who really want GE to buy out NOV and get all the non degree managers incompetent managers replaced with competent educated workers.

What about WFT's drilling services, Precision Energy MWD/LWD product line, have you heard that rumor? They can't get Sperry from HAL, and many of them are all from Sperry...

With the presidential campaign, the oil industry on the downturn, and more companies entering the service market. We should not worry about who buys who right now because 40% of NOV employees came from GE/Hydril and they already know how GE operates. NOV closed several plants to weather the storm but gave employees sufficient notice. GE Oil & Gas is already facing opposition from the French Government for the Alstom purchase and the many job loses behind that acquisition. GE Oil & Gas was to provide job creation as a part of the deal yet they have already announce laying employees off at the company. Wow!

I really don't see the need to buy NOV BOPdivision. GE already has better products in that category. I would buy Haliburton. They just lost a bunch of money which makes them an easy target. GE needs to build a better services model. Services is what keeps the oilfield a float!

I think it's highly likely GE buys someone before it's all said and done. They have a huge war chest of cash. NOV is a good candidate, as is FMC, others.

GE is not buying NOV. GE is laying off and freezing raises just like everywhere else.
