I hope the whole place closes down! Just a bunch of greedy bastards on the top.

There was an ad today in HigherEd jobs for online Art History faculty. I am thinking of applying since this would be an extra income job, but I'm confused after seeing these posts. I knew that the corporation was in trouble, but if they are laying people off, why would they be hiring new online employees?
Only giving 1 weeks pay per year

Anyone know how long until it completely closes? How long will the Phoenix office stay?
It's full pay until July 4 with some additional benefits.
Is it all of AIO that is closing? I know changes have been being made... bit scared sh*tless...
I can't speak to whether or not they received one, but I can tell you that if they did, it would be 1 week for every year. EDMC made that package shift a few years ago. 2 weeks won't ever come back.
Did they give the normal severance package? 2 weeks for every year?
It's very true and sadly, this isn't the only group that is going to get crushed today. Keep your heads up, y'all!
It's true, all but a handful of people.
Admissions, etc will run from Phoenix until it closes.
I've heard from several former co workers that they closed the entire Pittsburgh office. That would mean that the Phoenix location would be handling all administrative duties etc. I'm surprised we have not read more yet. I don't know how many jobs were lost but it's definitely upwards of a couple hundred.
