They are next week, in all departments. They will be cutting out the deadwood across the board.

To the person who posted: "There is some fat cats tha have drank and drank from the water cooler and now is time for them to be unemployed." - Take some of the salary from the sweet gig that you have now and use it to get an education.

D & C, SCM, PGPA, HES mainly. Not many from OPS - but a few from FE are scheduled to be let go. It is all a part of the strategy of rolling lay off. Don't expect any large chunks like what happened before. Going forward it is going to be much more nuanced. In a sense it will be death by thousand cuts rather than one fell blow like what happened last year. All the best guys.

Dozens of people dismissed is not the answer...it needs to be hundreds.

Which departments are being cut on the 19th? Surely it's the functional areas this time around and not operations folk!

Why don't they cut HR and PGPA that seems to be where all the fat is in the ABU?

CVX is cutting the wrong people...Right now, Gorgon and Wheatstone activity is shifting from construction and construction safety to Process safety. CVX has cut too many process engineers. CVX has very few process engineers with LNG experience. Both Gorgon and Wheatstone will struggle to startup and stay running, with potential for high consequence operating incidents. Australia LNG projects on track to over spend, lower volumes due to delay, lower ramp to plateau and lower revenues due to LNG prices. These problems will reduce corporate cash generation by $5 billion in 2016 and 2017. Wall Street has not factored these issues into CVX stock price and debt requirements. Wall St continues to believe managements BS.

I have heard that OE will be cut and most likely the global people.

There is some fat cats tha have drank and drank from the water cooler and now is time for them to be unemployed.

I will laugh when I see some of them from EMS walk out the doors and never return.

hes,hr,pgpa, Fe we could halve the ABU and you wouldn't decrease activity or production. Might stop us doing business with ourselves
