It looks like a list of folks have been determined already. There will be notification sometime before the end of this month of the next round of folks to leave.
With the crappy management, GE has no vision of staying alive in this market. Crappy products = no contracts.

Poor management at west way, Houston, tx. sub par practices and no standard operating procedures. Looking forward to be being laid off. Terrible establishment. A lot of good whole hearted companies bought by GE only to be backed apart by GE management
There has been many rounds already. GE Oil and Gas lacks Management leadership is the issue. There are many managers, but most lack in providing direction to employees. At all Westway, JFK, and NHR locations I have seen maybe 3 managers out of the hundreds that know what they are doing and provide sufficient direction to employees.
If you are a "GE Manager" and I had a company, I would definitely be biased to NOT hiring a GE Manager!
Unfortunately GE Oil and Gas (Unlike their other Businesses like Transpiration, Appliances, Aviation, etc), lacks in everything starting with work definition.
You think you got it bad. Try working at Weatherford.
Corporate never really has understood the oil and gas business.
And the fact is that GE has done a poor job leveraging cross platform technologies, and commercializing successfully technologies.
With that said, GE has purchased some great oil and gas franchises through the past 10 years.
So the next year or two, how they weather this storm will provide a good dose of reality about how good corporate management and all these fancy business processes really are!
