Thread regarding Education Management Corporation layoffs

Clearing up a few things about AIO

There are some stupid and misinformed people. They're not moving operations to Phoenix. AIO has had a Pgh and Phx location for many years. Pgh was always about 30-40 percent larger but for the most part housed similar or even identical positions. Both locations have faced various layoffs over the years. But in this case, they've laid off almost the entire Pittsburgh AIO workforce, but they won't be rehiring those positions in Phoenix. So they're not moving to Phx at all. They're just keeping the Phx office open, for now. Think of it like this. A restaurant has two locations. One closes. They're not expanding the second location. They're just closing the bigger one.
