3 days before they laid me off, they gave me a 19% bonus with a letter saying "looking forward for your continued contribution to the company in 2016"

Yes, as a Manager I got my bonus. It was okay.....I worked real hard for it, and moving forward I will use this new energy to lay off some more good employees of mine. Hang in there all, this ole boat is taking on water and its going to be a race to who can get on the only life raft. Take care, and remember I am watching you while putting this list together.

I know of a regular manager who received the bonus, so it was not just district managers and higher.

Yes, this is true. The bonus for 2015 was recently paid out. WFT was selective on how they paid the bonus. They changed criteria last minute. They dropped most people without telling them and the pool to chose from was district manager and higher. So, if a DM says they didn't get a bonus, they are lying to you.

I believe it. Pretty much all of the managers still at WFT have resorted to the BS tactic. These same managers will eventually need jobs outside of WFT. Word has spread about their actions. Hopefully they will be the co-workers of the employees they screwed and.. get to deal with those awesome circumstances.

Oh, and if you need to talk, or need someone to rely on, do you really think you can trust management?

Over two years ago they talked about a 3 person decision process, that there were too many people in mid and upper management. Well, mid and upper management are the only group not affected by layoffs. It is true managers are protecting their own or their egos in whom they decide to let go. It is pathetic. I know of one that put a 15 year employee on the chopping block telling others that that person may not be "hip" enough.

There is no such thing as a loyal manager at Weatherford. Besides, they got each other to lie and lead unsuspecting employees to the slaughter.

Managers are all guilty by association and all deserve to be in the unemployment line. Some more than others, but those f---ers at 5200 specifically deserve to be lied to and laid off.

Bonus during a furlough? I just dropped my quality control by another 10%.

If they were good managers they should have given the bonus back to save their workers. It just goes to show the real workplace culture. I was loyal and was laid off right before the bonus was paid. Now they are on the chopping block, and i hope to see them in the unemployment line. Hahahahaha. It feels good hearing them piss and moan about being screwed...bahahaha
