Get a grip and move on. If you were unhappy you should have done it before a layoff. Airing perceived grievances is not productive for those of us that want real information sharing. I know this post will draw a lot of really interesting points of view but I don't really care anymore. Improvise, adapt and overcome.

To the OP who started this thread. Airing your perceived grievance of those who you say are airing their grievance is being hypocrytical. Hypocrite. If you really didn't care you wouldn't be here wasting precious time.

I considered my layoff an opportunity to do what I really want. But, as witnessed while working for NOV, there are a lot of "can't do" types at this company. It appears they have kept them, lol.
I was laid-off back in 09 got back on a year later, and I'll do it again. Oohrah!
I agree100%. I am getting laid off last of July. I am moving on.
agree with you. I took the early retirement from orange ca. the wise cracks on this page are beyond stupid.
