Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Has anybody who was 28/28 rotational figured out the consequences to foreign service premium due to ESP noticification during a time off?

Because a rotational position puts in 2x the hours in 28 days, the "working" model has always been equal compensation during time off (including premiums). Repatriation package and pay stubs reflect that premium stopped effective notification date. If you were early in off hitch, it appears like you essentially gets cheated out of earned premium for period between ESP notification date and day you would have returned on on rotation. Anybody on rotation come back to work the day before they were notified and promptly sent home?

That's messed up. The assignment conditions state that you earn one day off, including uplift, for every day worked...

OP, I understand your concern (or complaint), but no matter what, it's Chevron's decision to do whatever they want. They run the show (or the sham) and if anyone got caught caught up in the ESP (rightfully or not), don't spend your time quarreling. Just get ready for the next phase of your life. I wasn't on a rotational shift, but I got laid off just the same. I shrugged it off (after a 3-day drinking binge) and got down to planning my next move beyond Chevron. I now enjoy a new job in the commercial construction industry with almost equally pay and great benefits. I'm also home with the family every Saturday and Sunday. Be positive and move on.
