I'm vsp eligible. I've been thinking it over. I'm willing to move. Why stay where I am not wanted. If I stay now, it will eat at me everyday till I get the next xsp. F--- this, f--- Intel, time for a change. On to new things. I'll just take a long silkwood shower to wash the Intel stink off me, take my check and move on.

The next to go are the people who were offered VSP. They need the headcount down. Not sure how this works as they keep hiring at the same time.
Andy Grove is rolling in his grave - you actually got an email that said that? That you'd be ISP with worse benefits?
Can we get unemployment benefits if we take VSP? OP
Saying people are a performance problem is legal protection for Intel in a layoff situation pure and simple.
As a manufacturer tech, how is one to even compete with all the other tech's for a promo? The majority of floor technician's are SSL3, if they VSP SSL3's will OM's be the new floor tech's?
Not true! Talk your manager!
Probably HR will wait a few weeks after the VSP folk are gone before they start to work on the ISP folks. IRL
I was offered VSP, and I'm successful SL3. Recent email said being offered VSP is a PERFORMANCE MESSAGE. If not enough people take the VSP then some VSP will become ISP, but with a lower package.
So SL3 is about to become the new BE/IR.
Getting an ISP in the first round is way better than getting VSP converted to ISP in the second.
