Bigger than you can imagine.... Just to put it simply just about everyone who has leaked information in the last month or even presented theory is right in a way...

Not everything was revealed today, need to wait and see the full story tomorrow.

I haven't seen the corporate shills so much in evidence in a long time. Something big really must be going down.

Socholm Cynde --- Oh, it is transformative alright. In the sense that people who once had dreams of their futures and lives free of debt come out of the schools with massive crippling debt and a shadow of the education that was promised them.

That is truly transformative for 100s of 1000s of people. EDMC employees truly operate with their heads up their asses after selling their consciences at the door. So glad I am ending my time as a teacher after this quarter.

Socholm Cynde, stop pandering. We can't wait for the day EDMC burns in hell for all the misery it's caused to hundreds of thousands (teachers and students) over the past decade. We are dedicated to the destruction of EDMC.

I know many here today are concerned about the strategic configurations that have been going on at EDMC over the past several years. As you know, the job of having to constantly reinvent one's self is an everyday challenge that can tax even the most dedicated of employees and managers.

With that said, in order to maintain the integrity of our institution as, I believe, the premiere educational institution we all believe it to be, we must sometimes all be asked to make sacrifices.

As you know market forces and inconsistent regulatory constraints have frequently forced us to realign the cost of doing business in order to meet the educational needs of our students. This dedication to well documented, historically excellent student outcomes often comes at a high price. Sometimes that price, unfortunately, may be the loss of FTEs. This is one of the many dynamic aspects of a organization that must constantly change in order to deliver a complex product such as a respected college degree.

Believe me, I am not indifferent to the anxieties produced in you by having to guess if you or the person next to you will be next to become unemployed. I know, I know, believe me, we all have house and car payments and children to feed. But, seriously, in the scheme of things, is it realistic to expect an employer, even one as caring as EDMC to employ you in perpetuity? And even when you don't make your numbers! Be realistic! None of us is immune to the vagaries of the marketplace. Why should you be any different? That's just silly.

But seriously, please remember that we are in the business of providing all of our students and employees with a highly prized, dare I say, transformative experience. So endeavor to live up to what I believe is the honor of being a member of the EDMC team now and always. I know you can do it.

And one more caveat, the clock is still being watched closely and monitoring is comprehensive. So have a great evening and we'll be seeing you tomorrow.
