Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Just an observation

I currently work at BoA.I was amazed how other banks pages in this site, like Chase and Capital one have much less traffic, comments and complaints comparing to here.It seems like BoA is the most hated bank in America not only by the customers, but by employees as well

Its so said that the bank knows it and doesnt do anything anout it.Im just riding the train like most of you and waiting for the last stop.

I also do have a severance pkg that will be substantial, but its just not worth it. I worry so much that I will not find a job and that severance will run out. I am trying to just GTFO. Get a decent hiring package and cut my losses.

"i got laid off few months back. I regret that I was taking it too easy and just letting for my turn to come instead of looking for something when I should have. A big mistake for sure..."

"Get off the train. Why are you waiting for the last stop?"

Some of us have severance packages that will be substantial. So yeah, there's that...

But I do get what you are saying.

I noticed that the other sites have less traffic also. I assume that there are no mass layoffs happening at this time ovet there right now and that is why it's quiet at this time. I'm a banker for over 30 years and have worked for 3 of the largest banks with 20 years spent at legacy BofA when it's headquarters were still in San Francisco. Sounds like it was a good thing I left. Believe me, Chase, Citi - also soulless companies who are more concerned with turning a profit then with employees are their individual problems. Big banks too big to fail have really hurt us all. Let the dismantling begin!

24 years at this bank.. just had my resume polished by a service.. I always thought I'd ride the train til the wheels fell off. It's not the same anymore. So many people let go and for us still here, work just piles on. Nope!.. time to take control and test the waters. It's a shame. Working here is like being in a dysfunctional relationship. It's time to leave!

We need a new CEO and fresh leadership that will make Bank of America great again

You can ask for all that in a hiring package. You tell them up front that this is what you leave on the table. or this is how much you will suffer financially buy leaving and ask for it in a hiring package. don't let any of that stop you from looking elsewhere. Get out now. it's much easier to find a job when you have a job.

Well I'm sure current employees are waiting for reasons for example, if you received tuition reimbursement less than a year ago & you quit then you will have to pay that money back supposed to just getting laid off & don't have to pay it back.

Get off the train. Why are you waiting for the last stop? (unless you plan to retire after or have something lined up.) I am very actively trying to find something else.

I also notice we are the ones with the most traffic. sad.
