Great question, what happens if you are wrong or worse, lying about the information to employees? Because even though I've been removed from AIPOD PGH for over a year now, all of my (now laid off) former colleagues said that all indications in the days leading up to it were that the place was on the up and up.
So take a seat you EDMC d*cksucker. My guess is your name has been dropped at some point or your one of the managers about to lay off the next batch and this is a pathetic attempt to misdirect it. The fact is that if you are basing long-term planning around your job at an EDMC school after what happened last week, then your kids deserve to starve.
The other part that you mention is about the students. There have been plenty of good doers that have come through that company that wanted to do well by their students and feel good about what they did for a living. Do you know what happened to them? They were fired. This is a numbers business and always has been. Hell, I even tried it for a bit and got put on a DM for a quarter.
Finally, if you are basing your job safety on what some yokel like Camden Kid or the various sh!t talkers on this site post, then I've got some great stock tips that will make you rich. You can be the first investor in my school: Jack's Magic Bean School University. It's regionally accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and School, Commission on Higher Education. That's the same accreditation as Harvard since it is the Harvard of Art schools....
What happens if you are wrong for misinforming the employees? Creating fear is not an opportunity to redeem yourself, it's an opportunity to intimidate people. At the end of it all, whoever is posting on here, accepted a job offer with EDMC and collected a paycheck from the greatest scam ever (according to some of the threads). We are all guilty so we have to accept the changes. If we would've just continued to service our students properly, this would not be happening. Take a moment to think about what you are about to post because some of us still believe in this for our students and most importantly need our jobs. Just because your job did not work out for you at EDMC, there's no reason to inflict fear into others that really cares. Go and interview with the next company you are going to convince that you will be a great asset to their organization and move on. Let EDMC do what they have to do in order to continue having some of us employed and the people that are staying after all is said and done, let's focus on the students that wants to be here. Now let's move it people. Stay off the thread on this site and focus on what we said to get our jobs wth EDMC and live up to the promises we made to our employer. If you feel you can do a better job than what EDMC did, then line up investors and start your own college.
No one is safe. Winter is coming
The idea that anyone is safe is absurd. Just look at the industry. There will be a re-org come the first of the fiscal year exactly what that looks like I'm not going to speculate. Three quarters of the people who comment are morons. If you think anyone is safe I would take some time to look around and see the changes happening. Sorry I can't help quell your fears but it's just the reality. Most people on here are spreading misinformation so take none of it as fact until you see it for yourself.
