Thread regarding Weatherford International Ltd. layoffs

Weatherford Corod Bakersfield

More layoffs tomorrow morning for the bakersfield rig guys. Raul and Jesus not one of them. These two f---ers are harder to get rid of then roaches. They really must be on their knees all day to be spared. Why are they getting rid of rig people when these 2 are ready to go. Lazy f---s. I watched Raul come to my lease and drop a part off and then to bull shut on my location for 2 hours with the crews. If you don't have anything to do then get the f--- out. Jesus hasn't assessed a person for almost 6 months now. What is he doing? I was filling out my tickets one day and I saw jesus sitting there bull shutting for over an hour. I'm tired of it. These guys there letting go have families. I know the price of oil is down but when I see waste like this going on for years, I can not stand by and not say nothing.

There are Raul's and Jesus' all over WFT, that's the problem, think about how many of these guys you know, you work with. How can we carry all this dead weight in this climate.

If I was management at this location, this type of thread would be an eye opener at least and worth a look. These types of lazy employees are easy to catch. All it takes is some simple digging. To many good people are being let go and these are what's let. Sad. Just have the employee write daily time accountable sheets with exactly what you did hour after hour and to show proof. All it would take is a week of that and you would see some huge gaps. It sounds like these two aren't worth much and will be extremely easy to replace.

Absolutely, 100% how dumb is a person that would rather keep that guy instead of the guy with the credentials and the guy to get the job done, its mind boggling bordering stupidity and he's in charge.

Make no mistake WFT is going down, it wont survive this, too much waste that gets overlooked when its good but not now.

Ya. I've always thought we've laid people off in a weird way. At most companies you can usually predict who's going next and who's staying. Mostly from work performance, experience, etc. But weatherford seems to just pick people at complete random. This guy doesn't do anything. He's a keeper. This guy can drive anything in the yard and has been a welder as well as an operator. Let's let him go and keep the guy that can barely do anything. Eventually, when they are down to bare minimum and there's just crappy workers left, they will be shut down. They will have nothing but guys that can't drive, are slow, unsafe, and lazy.I wouldn't be surprised if the big wigs did some sort of cleanse with management and started over. If it picks up and they start hiring again, that's the only thing that can save them now. But by the looks of things, that won't happen anytime soon. I feel bad for the guys getting laid off today. They're most likely guys with class A's, always on time, quik hard workers. Of course with families and kids. And they have to take in the fact that they were picked over people who take advantage of their position and don"t do anything. A lot of the office crap in reality only takes about two hours to do. But to justify their job, they spread it out and make it take forever. That's not entirely their fault either though. Again. Poor management.
