Indians and chinesse are taking jobs away from Americans. Greedy big corporations are opting for cheap overseas labor and replacing American workers by handing out these visas. It's a corrupt system and it must be stopped!
Indians have to go. I am an Eastern European immigrant living in Houston, TX. Houston is full of indians. They don't let any immigrants to take jobs for the companies they work for. This is not necessarily IT companies, they are everywhere
Yep all the H1B1 visa holders will help COP pay off 30 Billion debt since they are very qualified to do their jobs. Good luck with that I doubt that will happen. Thanks to such great performance that the company has had over all they have managed to rack up this kind of debt with minions that don't even belong to this country. Look dumbass, American jobs do not belong to only Americans. They belong to anyone who is qualified and has the legal right to work in America. American jobs belong to those who will make the companies the most money. American companies know that they will maximize profits by hiring both Americans and foreigners - there are currently not enough Americans to fill all of the jobs in demand. They also know to lay off morons like yourself with your 1800s way of thinking.

Posts like these are moronic! I figure that it was probably some guy who got laid off with some foreigners in his old group who kept their jobs. It is not 1950 or 1960 - the world is different. For a company to succeed in a competitive market, diverse and world class talent is required. If H1 and H4 visas were stopped, the overall talent of the oil industry (and several other industries) would really drop, and the industry would suffer. Don't get me wrong, there are many talented American workers in oil. However, there is not enough talent for the industry - hence visas are absolutely needed. Furthermore, anyone who has the mindset about abolishing visas really should not be in industry anyways. Open mindedness and collaboration is necessary. However laid you @HoqFPIl definitely made a good management decision.

It's funny how people blame foreigners every time things aren't going their way. I have known a lot of employees from overseas and I assure all of you that foreigner are not cheap labor as per federal law, which prohibits such thing. COP even has to pay for sponsoring their visas and free cards. I would like, however to raise a hilarious fact and that is someone who barely speaks English got to keep their job and y'all got laid off.
People with the visas listed are qualified people and assimilate learning American culture and speak our primary language "English"! I don't know how this got into politics but what we have pouring in across southern border has changed dramatically in past few years! We have many nationalities from around the world coming across our southern border. Many of these people do not ever intend to assimilate into our culture and they mean us harm. The reason that we have such a big illegal immigration problem is our own greed and our government indulging it! Our greed to have a sub class of workers that will not complain or organize while working for less in sub par conditions has opened a path to our enemies that must be closed. Our government could have put an end to this with current laws. If they are illegal then they can't work, live anywhere, rent or buy anything and the penalty to hire sell or rent anything to them should be so severe it is not worth the risk of the government would enforce our current laws. Law enforcement will not work totally as they have established enclaves To hide and support them. As for the candidate discussed keep in mind that much of what you hear has been slanted and twisted to appear the opposite to actual reality!
You can tell how ignorant you are and the lack of reading you do when you state that people with such visas are taking your jobs, fact is those visas by law cannot be paid any less than a qualified citizen so your argument here is quite erroneous. You want Trump for president because he promises to make America great by building a wall? You truly believe he hasn't benefit from illegals or does business outside of the US because it's cheaper? By God don't be fooled, I do hope that if he wins he proves many of us wrong. This presidency has a lack of talent I am a republican but Trump by no means qualifies as a republican.
