As you said Dean. Not the union reps fault.. You all have the vote & the decisions to take to the management based on that.. With a weak kneed shop floor Ming gets her way.. Overtime bans etc can be decided by you all or you can do things like agree to sign a new contract without reading it... & that's got the crappy NOV redundancy deal in.. It's in your hands what happens not the union reps
Its very easy to keep blaming the union. At first your comment made sense then it went all wrong attacking the union. Just remember the shop floor have the deciding vote. I for one can assure you all ive given 100%commiment to the shop floor and it now ultimately cost me my livelihood so please dont attack the current union because we really have tried so hard.
What a horrible sad company these so called managers have turned this place into.A once thriving happy company,where you came in,got on with your work whilst listening to a bit of music in the background.Even murderers and rapists in prison can listen to music.The shop floor is at an all time low, whilst the managers still walk around laughing and whistling without a care in the world.What they fail to realise is when we shut down altogether which is a foregone conclusion under these idiots,then the boot will be on the other foot and the chances of them getting a management job like they have now is nil.I suggest they start putting their feelers out now,I believe McDonalds are recruiting soon.She still walks about the shop floor like nothing is wrong,although in her sheltered world nothing is.Things need to change,we need to start standing up for ourselves more,and as for our once decent Union I think you should all resign as you seem to let this management walk all over us.
Ive found out im at risk of being made redundant having been scored by management detirmined to see the back of me because im not prepared to keep quiet and become a silent bob character. Management have soon got to understand that. because someone has an opinion which is not the same as thiers it should be taken constructively and not personally. I feel grieved that my matrix as been sabotaged by these people who see me as a future threat and have not got the honesty and mentality to beat me in a debate . Not going to get personal about these individuals but i will say your cowards and hope one day soon the shoe is on the other foot. Farewell shop floor and start standing up to these incompitant cowards.

All I know is rubber there where 6 letters given out and theres only 1 staying out off the 6 its a joke then oilfield is going on days so the lads are losing more money while the management keep there wages as they are its not going to last

Just want to say not been on here since I was called really bad but ive gone today after 11years im made some really good friends and had a great laugh if people know like my family do im a good lad haha so to all those people who stay good luck and I hope the company gets bigger I have no regrets I loved all mu 11 years tjere so too all my friends there good luck and god bless
Absolutely disgusting the way it all happened today - and what was the plant manager doing sat in the office laughing and joking!
So sad seeing lads walk out the door today after losing their jobs.This management have an awful lot to answer for,don't know how they sleep at night but no doubt they sleep very well.Were actually coming round today pushing for us to get the work out as lads were being called in and made redundant.No shame and no remorse,but no suprise there is there.

I read all these comments every day and they are getting nastier and nastier.I have worked at Mono and now Nov for many years and have always been proud that the lads and girls on the shop floor always stood together,until now!People need to sit down for 5 minutes and think about what exactly is going on?This company is being run by probably the most inept set of managers I have ever seen,and at its head is a woman who seems to be absolutely clueless on the running of a big company.Its not the workers fault that a once great company is now being run into the ground by these people.When this is all over we all have to continue to work together,which is going to be extremely difficult with all these comments that are being put on here.Whether you are a Rubber shop worker,an A shop worker ,a storeman or anything else it's time to stop the name calling and stand together against these useless,pathetic people that have the audacity to think they are better than us.Do you think we will be here in two years?cos I don't.The management must read these comments and laugh their heads off,as all we do is call one another whilst they slowly twist the knife in,taking more and more off us.Let the next comments not be about slagging off your colleagues but telling this pathetic management that we have had enough.I don't want to see one worker go down the road,but would love to see all this management go before it is too late and we are all out of a job.We are a great workforce,they just don't realise it.

its ok for Tim and the other muppets in the machine shop to slag off people in the stores and other departments for doing overtime to make up their wages when they are on 10k a year more than the others. what a bunch of self serving pricks you old cunts in the machine shop are. you have a short memory and seem to forget how some of the stores boys took a £100 a week pay cut so there would be no redundancies on your side 6 months ago.
