This company hasn't given it's employees merit increase nor bonus for the past 12 months now. It also has a track record of handing out insulting, low ball offers. I don't understand who in their right mind would want to stick around this place?

OP has a point. If you didn't get the retention package, you would be a fool to stick around.

Qualcomm has taken care of all its "good" engineers with a retention package, promotion, or a pay increase to match competing offers, if any, even though the official position is no merit increase, bonus, or RSUs. If you didn't get any, you need to think about what you ought to do differently.
Many more stocks and bonuses are to come keep doing a great job you all.
Stock and bonuses are discretionary compensation. They are not guaranteed. They are incentives to work hard and make money for the company. The company is losing in every market it plays in. Why would you expect stock and bonuses?

You are absolutely correct.
Things were this bad back in 2014..or heck even April 2015.
Sh it hit the fan later.
Those who jumped sooner avoided all the negativity and heart burn.
A year ago exactly, people got raises, bonuses, and stock. 6 months ago, people got tiny bonuses and stock. Most people that post seem to not actually work here because they don't have their facts straight.
