All the guys getting overtime can be replaced with guys getting 40 week but they are sucked up to close to the sack. I agree poor management is the reason they working overtime anyway

If you think you are being treated unfairly Google "overtime discrimination UK' and see whether you have case against your manager. I don't think you have. Life is unfair and unless your contract of employment guarantees you overtime the manager can offer it to whoever he wants whether it is seen to be fair it not. He has justified how he makes that choice here. Like it or lump it. That's life.

If bosses outside of BOD are monitoring this site, ask to see the employee engagement surveys. Will tell u all you need to know. Doubt they still exist now they were that bad
Overtime is given in areas that there is work. Overtime is given to people who have good efficency and low scrap. If you are not getting overtime you probably fall into all of those categories.
That does not explain why certain people in finishing and inspection are getting so much overtime. They are standing doing nothing most of the time.
Most people have no reason to moan about not getting overtime. You are lucky to have a job and having no overtime should suggest you are not pulling your weight.
The boss that's on here saying his door is open is the cause of a lot of the bad atmosphere. Approach at your own risk

Overtime is for those honks, that where unable to fix the problems during their normal workshift or in 5 day week. Sometimes it´s also a reason of big mismanagement if your upper is strugling the hole week and comes on a friday night with a solution. That´s the only reason for overtime.

Overtime is not a 'reward'. Overtime is a necessity (allegedly) to help run a business. If there wasn't a necessity to work weekends to complete orders etc would you still offer overtime at time and a half, double time etc etc just to reward those with 'talent' ? Don't think so. It's as simple as that. The reason you get people in at the weekend is because their basic salary is sh-- and they need the additional money to maintain or improve their living standard.

Those that get in the weekends are those that have the required talent to help run the business.Those not asked to work overtime at weekends are not required.How much simpler can it be?, you dont get overtime simply to make money for yourself, overtime is a reward, a bonus for those people that have earned the right to work it.All this nonsense about face fitting and chums of gaffers etc is untrue.Come and see me in my office anytime you want further clarification, my door is always open and you know where it is.
