Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Happy July ahead

So they cut our staff, cut our bonuses, and increased our roles. Wonder how they expect that to go over when salaried personnel get overtime beginning in July.

What choice do they have, they have to keep the dividend at 100%.

The OT law will likely not apply to salaried store managers, as the job title has a new description with Core Responsibilities that will likely make the job still exempt under the new law.

Well played, Follett. Well played.

It's Sears and KMart mentality, they will hire minimum wage workers to do management work and University and customer service will continue it's escalation downward.

They'll simply cut your hours, and you won't get benefits either. Then, they'll hire another part timer, to complete work, if necessary.

They won't be paying overtime pay. They are demoting forces from salary to hourly pay and stipulating no hours over 40 per week thus no overtime. It will be interesting to see how all the work can be done unless they hire minimum wage workers to do management work. Don't see that happening. I feel they are just trying to move more associates out the door.
