Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

Cake Slur Update

I'm only sharing this statement because I find it to be worded strangely. It's the part where he uses company phrases, like "team members" and "commitment to values". I absolutely believe he made the story up, but the use of lingo is just odd to me, and I'm not sure what to make of that:

"Today I am dismissing my lawsuit against Whole Foods Market. The company did nothing wrong. I was wrong to pursue this matter and use the media to perpetuate this story. I want to apologize to Whole Foods and its team members for questioning the company’s commitment to its values, and especially the bakery associate who I understand was put in a terrible position because of my actions. I apologize to the LGBT community for diverting attention from real issues. I also want to apologize to my partner, my family, my church family, and my attorney.

That's exactly what I was thinking.

He was probably given direction by the big wigs at corporate about what he needed to say in his statement in exchange for them dropping the counter suit. That's probably where the language about "team members" and "values" came from. I'm sure someone in Austin saw his statement before it got released.
