Yes, a lot of these expats stayed on for ever in Thailand enjoying their cushy premiums and allowances. Now is the time to get back to the real world.
This week the Thai national employees will know their faith. Of the 300 expatriates, two third had been identified in the repatriation. However, of the remaining 100 expatriates, mostly are the D&C folks chasing after a handful of wells to drill. These are the people with the best connections.

I agree that original post was useless. Chevron announced publicly a few days ago 800 layoffs in Thailand in addition to those completed previously. Effective August 1. Check Reuters or other news services for details, if you're interested.
