Hey Clay and Jose how is that Billion $ acquisition coming? Missed another opportunity, first Cameron last year and now FMC. Still feel these nickel and time (“Bolt On”) small dollar companies NOV is buying are really going to make a difference to help improve NOV’s eroding market share? Clay please put your spin on this on the same way you BS the Wall Street analysts on ever Quarterly earnings call.
FMC was one of the last potential Mergers/Acquisition that would have made sense in this current mkt for NOV’s long term growth. Especially since NOV is really making NO PROGRESs with its C.A.P.S division. How are those relationships coming with the shipyards and winning some contracts for FPSOs? Why the orders should just be flowing in, “easy –money”, especially after the massive investment NOV has made in CAPS!!!!! With the tremendous success you had in Brazil with those 22 Drill ships…..oh wait…….. those are all effectively canceled…my mistake how much was lost on backlog for the orders? ($3 -$4 billion)? Now try competing on future FPSO contracts against a combined FMC-Technip…good luck with that!!!!!
Just give up and let GE buy you guys. Take your golden parachute and walk away. This is what NOV gets for putting a bean counter as CEO… what was Pete Miller thinking???? Put a real ops guy in charge…at least someone like Joe Rovig actually really understands this business and doesn’t hide behind a bunch of bullet point phrases and keeps repeated the same punch-line rhetoric over and over again on each earnings call. Keep pretending to know what you are talking about in this industry. Fire Jose and go back to reporting the numbers at lease you were Ok at doing that.
