Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

FLSA,- I haven't taken a lunch in a year...sound familiar? I have coworkers that work 24/7 in fear of losing a job...

Ready to take my life back and maybe give it back to my family...tired of senseless fire drills and working weekends...tired of giving up my life for BAC cash

Remember... the bank was supposed to improve working conditions after an Intern Death back in 2014 related to working excessive hours. I doubt anything has changed and in fact it has incrementally gotten worse since then. There's no free lunch so control your working hours and I make sure you get paid for all overtime work. This practice of not paying overtime to exempt employees is ridiculous and downright illegal and needs to stop.

Anything that worked in the past is completely irrelevant. This is the BM New BAC where every associate is an undesirable liability. Remember that when you get your package there's not a damn thing you did to "deserve" it other than waiting it out and being unfortunate enough to work in this hell hole

Many of us did the same thing only to discover in the end that it was not worth it or appreciated. I always gave extra and for many years I worked for managers that truly appreciated my efforts and did right by me. In my last year with the bank I worked for the most atrocious manager I have ever encountered and no matter how hard I worked it was never appreciated. I was grateful to get a package and am not working as a consultant so if I work over 40 hours I get paid for it and can take whatever time I need. Hang in there, life beyond BAC is so much better.

Follow the 40 hr rule.. 40 hrs then off!! If you don't take a lunch than cut out after 8 hrs. Your life will be much better and it will not matter in the grand scheme of things. You'll be more productive because your attitude will be better.

Also, use your sick benefits when you need them. I cannot believe how many people work when they are sick (or their kids are sick) when you get 10 days per year to use.

Right.. like flying in late last night..after midnight and already online working because I'm behind. I encourage my staff to take lunch, have boundaries..because in the end, none of it matters. I need to follow my own advice.

Stop!! Unfortunately, it doesn't matter! I would work work work and was always a top performer and did exactly what I was suppose to and more! I got cut in the end! Go ahead now and take your life back! There are so many lunches and functions for my kids I missed for the bank and it just didn't matter in the end!
