Apparently you can keep on 70+ drillers with no prospect of well operations in the next couple of years. Gravy train still in full operation in ABU.

More cuts this coming week. Haven't heard of anyone in D&C or Exploration being let go yet, so expect some carnage Monday and Tuesday. Can't keep on 70+ drillers with no prospect of drilling for years. Chevron ABU is the strangest, most poorly run company I have been involved with.

True that ABU took around round this week with a reduction of 20% in AD. No retention bonuses as people are being walked out the door. And person that claimed there was, is being disrespectful to people that have lost their jobs.

This is true and it is a colossal waste of money. Would you expect different?

it's not like they wouldn't be able to find any qualified subsurface folks or you could find any other work anyway.

what a waste of money (if true) !!!

False. We are actually going to announce that if we stay with Chevron for 12 months (as of June1) we will receive 50% of current salary as a retention bonus.
