Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Anyone remembers the good Ole days when making money for the company, a nice paycheck and working with people you a actual got along with

Remember those good ole days when Follett was a company you were proud to be a part of, and as cheesy as some of our past holiday luncheons might have sounded, we always managed to have a great time and shared some good laughs... and what those semi-annual Follett conferences at the resort and those fun and energizing nocturnal activities.... ahhh what fun and fond memories and activities... now look at us... we about as popular as the old beta machines or the old AMC car brand... what a shame :(

Why didn't Follett take the opportunity to whack the bad, under performing employees instead of better performers.

Layoffs can be effective if you get rid of the right employees.

It feels almost like I won the lottery when I got laid off. Sad to say that it is less stressful for me to be unemployed than working at Follett.

I try, but it is so frustrating working here and it saps all motivation and happiness every day.

You have to be crazy to stay in this environment. You have to be crazier to join as a new hire. There's so much bad juju here that I cry every day. What a mess you've become my once dear Follett.

Tell me about it; left the office a couple hours ago, was there yesterday, too.

I remember good times at work. Great team spirit. Now everyone is depressed and stressed wondering who will be let go next. 60-70 hour work weeks are common and we still can't get everything done.
