Everytime during the all hands meeting, SM will say attrition is high, and HR is sending out this survey to selected folks to findout why. Has anyone ever got this survey? And why the hell do they need to conduct this survey when the answer is already very obvious, your compensation is crap and people don't see much incentive in sticking around.

Took it about a month ago. Fifty questions with prechewed answers like strongly agree or almost never. Not a single question related to compensation, sigh...
They don't really need to take a survey to find out why there's attrition when there are BBs like thelayoff.com, where numerous employees b*tch freely about conditions. The problems is that instead of taking a hint from the writing on the proverbial wall, they assume it is just a few malcontents. Then they hire "experts" to design surveys that ultimately tell SM and the Board of Directors what they want to hear--i.e., "Everything is wonderful at QC!" I'm betting the experts were hired by HR.
