Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

BK is the best CEO ever for making Intel more diverse with URM program

I applaud BK for bringing women of all races and changing the face of Intel to reflect reality.

I also welcome seeing women around campus instead of old white guys ;)

I like them reds, blondes, brunettes, old, young, black, white, oriental,..etc.. (dont like Indian women as they stink plus they are same as the Indian dude's and they are tripping on other levels..) so don't care on type, shape, academic degree, bla bla bla of women so definitely equal opportunity here!! To you ladies that are "competing" against man, please don't as man are not trying to compete against you, we love you very much, very much and there is nothing we men will do for you ladies..

You ladies won long time ago and you own us so play it smart and stop the BS of equal opportunity and equality crap since you guys can get whatever you want already.. If you just want the "recognition" of society that women are equal or better than men then I guess keep at it but at the end you will just become old and wear out were no man will want to have anything to do with you..

Life is to short for this crap so if you women want to be all powerful and want to have this anal competition with men then I guess you will never be able to reach your goals since men will despised you sat the end and unfortunately you will loose all your REAL power.. If you see me on the hallways, just smile and I will smile back and maybe we can do some flirting and have a good time and enjoy life..

It's about equality. If you're smarter, you get the job.....regardless of gender or race.

Look at Intel's management....from a women's standpoint, you should be happy. If you're not, you're just whining

Seems many posting here have prejudice against women and can't accept the idea of a woman being smarter than those men still at Intel.

Hillary is the most prepared candidate to be president. She is also well educated and honest. She deserves a chance.. You guys are just a bunch of bigots and racist not thinking that Hillary is the smartest choice.

@1aek who the F#@$!@# care about color or race, its talent and its application which matters.

As a stock holder I want profits and only profits not the BS about race/color or diversity. if people don't perform then another 12K will be on the block. It is about pure profits nothing else.

I'm all about diversity, but talent should dictate a hire, not the color or gender of the person. I worked at Intel for 20+ years and over the last 3 years, the new hires were absolutely dismal. Smart on paper, no social skills, but they had the right color skin and gender. I'm glad I'm gone from Intel's nuclear layoff because the people that remain will really see the horror. Thanks to the CSP's, Intel's future will be that of a fab where the customer determines the price they're willing to pay. Intel's business model, value-add and markup are dead.

Striving to be average, that's Intel for sure. Make our skin colors reflect community at large, benchmark all sorts of things against other companies and set a goal to be average. Then be surprised when you can't get above average margins. Duh.

meh, there's a reason we call women "hot" or "Intel hot". A 10 on the latter scale is about a 5 on the real one.

Can you imagine any of the professional sports league (NBA,NFL,MLB,NHL) having an owner who says that he wants the most diverse team (25% black, 25% white, 25% hispanic, 25% asians) in the name of fairness? Not only will that team not win a championship but dare I say they will not have a winning season due to them cutting their nose to spite their face. This too along with all the phuck ups the past 10 years will be the demise of Intel. Oh, I forgot to mention the arrogance of the so-called leaders at Intel.

Who cares about experience, performance, and capability. Seems like the ivy league schools about building a "community" that reflects society.

Can someone ask BK if he hopes to reflect society how does he expect to perform better than society. Unless he is willing to pay the best ERM way above market to get the best as it is after all a supply demand society that will mean he will pay less for Asians and Indians. So Asian and Indians will make less doing the same job and white american male, and then all three groups will make a LOT less than any ERM even though their performance will be the same. Sounds like the kind of company I want to not be part of.
