BK doesn’t work at the company replaced by a bean counter, no chance of that.

But with the new changes manufacturing/ technology leadership in silicon manufacturing is finished unless sleepy Joe or MAGA pump tons of money and an import wall.

Apple, AMD, Nvidia, Facebook, Amazon, Microsoft all go to the manufacturing and technology leader for their silicon.

Intel used to talk about a virtuous cycle, is that list of customers for your silicon a virtuous cycle that Intel can’t compete against. Even with x86 and server golden good they can’t compete in a open market, it’s simple economics and scale and once they lost the leadership they do t have scale or scope to compete, lastly don’t forget who is now in charge of silicon RD and manufacturing, you think they are going or bring it back, no it is FUBAR

Intel is NOT swimming in cash!

Though it generates a lot of free cash the Altera deal, dividends, and debt repayment take a lot, then you got the need to repurchases shares, and also give a lot of stock to the fat cats.

If the cash cow suddenly drives up, say next generation products are late, ARM makes a server run with the help of FB, Amazon, Google, MS dang everyone that is tired of 60% GM... Bankrupt in no time, LOL

Unlike many companies intel has only one product and frankly there isn't much upgrade excitement these days!

Intel is a massive and highly profitable near monopoly with a ton of cash on hand.

Cuts and re-focusing are long overdue but will free up more cash and support increased margins.

The pressure on Intel is going to be from Wall Street. The stock price is down and growth is going to be difficult, even after the chaos and delays of this poorly-executed restructuring fade.

Intel's going to trudge along, a shell of its former self, but I can't imagine bankruptcy anytime soon.

Intel is a HUGE COMPANY, it is not declaring bankruptcy by just getting rid of 12k ,or even 30k people.

Original poster is immature or being a troll.

It will be a slow and painful death, may take a decade or so. Likely to break up into two companies, design & foundry ala AMD, along the way. Even if it is not completely dead, it will be a ghost of former self.

When 10 fails in 2017 it will get interesting as Intel has no backup nor revenue or new products on the older nodes, LOL
