Got an offer recently. Just curious what is the daily life of customer engineer?

They take customer's description of the chip/sw failure, copy&paste it to create CR for developers. Then they ping developers everyday on status of the CR fix.
Oh and they're all leads of some sort.
Stuck between rock and a hard place 24/7.
