I walked a few months ago after being there for 9 years. Too much pride to request a package - I wanted to go on my terms and I have only regretted leaving my friends. Life is much, much better now.

Well, my desk and several more of my co-workers have cleaned out most of their personal items just waiting for the next cuts. I agree, I have put in too many years to let this bank off the hook. I am a meet expectations now, no more/no less. Just give me my package and walk me out.
It's good to know that I'm not the only one who feels this way. It has been looming over us for a long time. It's hard to walk in with a smile anymore. I've been here too long to just walk out. I guess I'll wait and see and give my all until I walk out for good. Walk out on my own or with papers...
Hillsboro mlos are under 20 out of over 150 in my 5 years with the bank. It's gross and creates so much anxiety everyday when you come in.
"Is today the day!"ugh.
You're not alone
There are no managers that can be trusted - this is a hierarchical,"bloodthirsty" corporation! Just call HR and tell them you want the package. They'll either put you on the list or organize with your managers to pressure you to leave. Either way, get your resume ready and start planning!
Assuming you have a manager you can trust, there is no reason you should not volunteer to be put on the list next time they have to provide candidates for Staff reduction. This way you get severance pay from a job you were going to quit anyway, and also save a job for someone who does not want to be left go.
If only they could ask for volunteers I would be first on the list. This madness has been going on far too long. Now they want us to complete half year self assessments, our plans to grow our careers, what a joke.
