GE bought Alstom for technology only, now that we are on their payroll they are wiping us out. Sept layoffs due to lower than expected third quarter results. Worst company for corporate greed. May Immlett, Bolz and Reda all rot in hell

On a Side note to all that- I herd a NY plant is being run like a prison the last few months, I herd that the NY plant cracked down and the company is writing people up for everything and anything.
Makes me and my boy friend to start to wonder when the layoff will hit the NY plant where he works. I herd a lot of the union members are looking for new jobs, that this plant and company is not a retirement career anymore.
I herd the NY plant has a 2 tier pay scale system, less per hour, and a 401k for lower tier union members. I thought union jobs things where
suppose to be equal, same for all members. The only thing equal is they all have the same crap healthcare coverage.
This is Corporate Greed at its finest! Makes me sick how companies can play games with people trying to make ends meet and survive.

I've been there 15 years, GE won't give anyone who is up for a service award, their due award.
I know by our contract they can't reopen the plant for 5years non-union.
Though they have ways of manipulating I'm sure.
The infrastructure of the USA will/needs to be rebuilt..who's going to do that? The working people..skilled labor..
The "war on coal" hurt our industry also.

It was only a matter of time. I worked there 11 years. Some of the worst leadership by our plant managers and supervisors that I've ever been a part of. Outsource most of the work and getting owned by China too. Thanks to our government for selling the American working man out (NAFTA). GE and other big companies are just plain evil just like the US government. They buy US companies then close them down and open up plants in other countries and pay slave labor. It's all a big scam that only effects the working man.
